The firm was founded by investor Eiad Asbahi in 2009 and is headquartered in Baton Rouge, LA.

Founder and Portfolio Manager
Eiad Asbahi founded Prescience Point Capital Management in 2009 after several years as an analyst at hedge funds in New York. He began as an analyst with Sand Spring Capital, analyzing debt and equity instruments across the capital structures of highly-indebted companies and special situations. He went on to work in a similar capacity as a consultant with Cohanzick Management and later Kinderhook Partners. At Cohanzick, Mr. Asbahi analyzed companies across the capital structure, with a focus on high yield and distressed debt, capital arbitrage, and special situation equities. At Kinderhook, Mr. Asbahi focused exclusively on analyzing small-cap equities, identifying undervalued companies with exceptional growth prospects or impending catalysts to unlock intrinsic value.
Since founding Prescience Point Capital, Mr. Asbahi has earned a reputation for his short selling expertise, having unearthed numerous fraudulent public companies and discovering accounting issues that inflate the value of stocks. Forbes has named Prescience Point one of the “100 Best Finance Twitter Accounts You Should be Following” and the buyside analyst network SumZero selected one of Mr. Asbahi’s research reports as being one of the 20 best ideas of the year in 2014.
In 2012, he was selected as being in the top 5% of the 7,000+ analysts and portfolio managers on Sumzero. In 2011, Mr. Asbahi was recognized by the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report as a recipient of the “Top 40 Under Forty” award, which recognizes 40 men & women under the age of forty who stand out in terms of professional achievement, leadership, & contributions to the community.
Mr. Asbahi graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Microbiology from Louisiana State University, graduated at the top of his MBA class from LSU’s Flores MBA program, and has achieved the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
